In the remote wilderness, where the vast expanse of trees mingles with the crisp northern air, a small hunting camp lay nestled in a protective embrace. This camp belonged to the Secwepemc Hunters, a resilient indigenous clan who had lived off the land and honored their traditions for generations. Chapter 3
-Uncovering the Nefarious Plot at the Residential School
The sun had barely risen over the horizon, casting long shadows across the somber grounds of the residential school. Among the children forced into this place, where their culture and identity were systematically stripped away, was a boy named Louis. His eyes, once bright with the innocence of youth, now held a steely determination that belied his age.
Louis had been taken from his family, like so many others, and brought to the residential school under the guise of education and integration. However, the reality was far darker. The children were subjected to harsh discipline, forced labor, and an oppressive regime designed to erase their indigenous heritage. Whispers of children going missing circulated among the students, but fear kept them silent.
Chapter 4

Reeling from the unjust and tragic death of her child, a mother leaves the confines of the reservation, only to navigate a world saturated with racism. Caught in the clutches of alcoholism, systemic prejudice and abuse. She confronts the specter of Death yet again.
Chapter 5
-The Little Peoples Ways
Myths and legends have long been a part of Secwepemc/Shuswap history, weaving tales that both fascinate and terrify. Among these stories are those of the 'little people,' mythical beings often described as small and elusive. While some legends portray them as benign or even helpful, there is a darker subset of these creatures that are malevolent and sinister. These malevolent little people are said to capture children and feed off their pain and sadness, creating a nightmarish existence for their unfortunate victims.
Chapter 6
- Following, The Life of Mary an Indigenous Girl Growing up on the Rez in Modern Times and her Connection to the Boy
The Rez's dynamic is a blend of old and new. While some families cling fiercely to traditional ways, others sought to integrate modern influences. This sometimes caused friction, but it also sparked vibrant discussions and a deeper understanding of their collective identity.
Mary's friendships are a source of joy and support. Her best friends share her enthusiasm.
Mary Can See the Boy, Wants to Comfort and Proceeds to Play Games, Unknowingly Causing a Chain of Events.
(The Shuswap, or Secwépemc, have fascinating legends about k̓woyí7se qelmúcw or qweqwéq̓wme7t "little people" who are said to inhabit high mountains and cliffside caves. These tiny, elusive beings are often compared to the dwarfs, elves, fairies, and goblins of European folklore. They are believed to possess supernatural powers and can either help or hinder humans, depending on how they are treated. Malevolent Vs Protective.
These stories are part of the rich cultural heritage of the Secwépemc, who reside in the interior of British Columbia. Their traditional territory spans a vast area, and their legends and traditions have been passed down through generations)
